Fratto on NPR – Scrutinizing The Candidates’ Stump Speeches
Listen to Tony Fratto scrutinize an Obama stump speech here.
Fratto on President Obama’s oft-cited job creation statistic:
“Everyone is going to be selective in their choice of data points…They only talk about job creation. They don’t talk about net job growth over the course of the administration, which they’ve only I think, barely gotten back to even.”
Fratto on President Obama’s deficit reduction plan:
Spending on “education, research – all good things. But if you just listen to this formulation again. Cut the deficit, pay taxes, but then we’re going to spend it. So that’s not cutting the deficit.”
