Russ Grote, Senior Analyst
Russ Grote is a senior analyst for Hamilton Place Strategies. He conducts economic, policy and market research and develops strategic communication strategies for clients. He helps produce HPS economic analyses and the Jobs Day reports and fact sheet. He also assists in social media efforts for the firm.
Prior to joining HPS, Russ spent considerable time abroad. In the summer of 2006, Russ interned in Kenya, working on the HIV/AIDs crisis. The following summer he conducted field research on democratization and economic development in the Balkans. In 2010, he spent 8 months traveling and volunteering in East and Southern Africa.
Originally from Winston-Salem, NC, Russ attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in African Studies. You can follow him @RussGrote on twitter.
