Amber Marchand Joins HPS As Managing Director

WASHINGTON, DC – Amber Marchand, communications director for Sen. Roy Blunt, is joining Hamilton Place Strategies (HPS) as a managing director. In this position, Amber will lead communications efforts for HPS clients, drawing on her knowledge and experience of healthcare, energy, and trade issues.

Amber served as the communications director for U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) since 2011. She oversaw Sen. Blunt’s traditional and digital media strategies, and was his primary on-the-record spokesperson. Amber’s experience also includes time at the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security and at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Furthermore, Amber previously served as the national press secretary for the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) and as the deputy national press secretary for the Republican National Committee (RNC).

Amber has a dual-bachelor of arts in public relations and psychology from Pennsylvania State University. She currently resides in Virginia with her husband and their two kids, with a third child on the way.
