Biography

Carrie Matthews is Director of People Operations at Hamilton Place Strategies, tasked with recruiting new talent, managing staffing for client teams, and coordinating the training program for new hires. She also helps manage daily operations of the firm, including coordinating logistics and information technology for the office.

Carrie comes to HPS with several years of project and event management experience at nonprofit organizations and a trade association. Most recently, Carrie worked at FINCA International under the Global Chief Operating Officer, supporting various Operations activities including reporting processes, operating plan coordination, budget creation and management, and general office management. Prior to that, she worked at Women for Women International for two years, serving as liaison to the board of directors, assistant to the President & CEO, and coordinator for the Global Leadership Team.

Carrie began her career at CTIA – The Wireless Association, where she served as Operations Coordinator on the conventions team. In this role, she worked on the association’s two annual trade shows, managing logistics for all partner events and association meetings during the week-long shows, as well as hotel accommodations for staff and VIP guests. Additionally, she managed the department’s contracts and accounting processes, serving as liaison to the legal and accounting departments.

Originally from a suburb of Boston, Massachusetts, Carrie graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in Government and Politics and a Minor in French. Carrie volunteers with several local organizations, including the local chapter of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She speaks French and Spanish.
