Biography

Michael Michaud is a director at Hamilton Place Strategies, advising a range of clients on strategic communications, digital strategy, and public policy.

Prior to HPS, Michael served as an assistant vice president of equity research at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, a full-service boutique investment bank and broker-dealer. At KBW he focused on the intersection of Washington and Wall Street, providing in-depth analysis into how legislative and regulatory activities affected the financial sector. Michael especially concentrated on the Dodd-Frank Act’s overhaul of the financial regulatory framework and the litigation risks posed to financial companies post-financial crisis.

Prior to his time at KBW, Michael worked as a game logger at MLB Network, where he catalogued games for the network’s proprietary database, and also interned in the office of U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT).

A native of Charlotte, Vermont, Michael received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont, where he majored in political science and minored in history, and is currently working toward a master’s in government at Johns Hopkins University. He lives in Washington, D.C.
