Biography

Sam is an associate at Hamilton Place Strategies, where he works with a diverse group of clients to analyze and affect public policy.

Sam began as an intern at HPS, engaging stakeholders and conducting analyses for clients in business, financial services, technology, and transportation. He was previously an editorial intern at the American Enterprise Institute, where he reviewed books, reports, and online entries on foreign, economic, and education policy. Sam also interned in the Capitol Hill offices of Reps. Adam B. Schiff (CA-28) and Chris Van Hollen (MD-8).

A native of Bethesda, MD, Sam earned his A.B. magna cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis, where he studied political science and writing. He served as editor-in-chief, and then executive director, of the Washington University Political Review, and his thesis examined Congressional voting behavior on defense policy.
